CAREER: Driving With The Basic Instincts To Serve Humanity

CAREER Charitable Trust supports the cause to serve the marginal’s and poor by heart. The entire team is committed to working dedicatedly for the socio-economic improvement of weaker and deprived sections of the community. It was established in the year 2000 to concentrate on decreasing the difficulties and social injustice experienced by poor, Dalits, women, and Adivasi.

At present, it has a big family, that operates 24/7 for bringing peace and harmony in the society without any inclination. Working according to the beliefs of its founders,CAREER Charitable Trust affirms to bring change in the society by helping the marginalized communities with basics such as livelihood, health, education, and gender equality.

Promoting Health Services – CAREER is constantly organizing health awareness camps for men and women from the beginning. They have a significant interference in the health division that supports admittance to quality health services for the poor and marginalized communities. The team advocates the need for sanitation, personal hygiene, healthy and nutritional diet by practicing simple and domestic methods along with awareness programs on HIV, AIDS, TB, CANCER, and other diseases. 

Conveying livelihood possibilities – CAREER is smartly doing well in southern India by encouraging the women to form Self Help Groups in Karnataka and Kerala. Through SHG members, women can easily get knowledge and learn skills to defeat poverty. SHG is an organization of like-minded women and men who are willing to work together to address shortfalls by social activities. CAREER is supporting a total of 32 SHG with 366 members. It is encouraging schemes such as animal husbandry, seedlings production, shops, vegetable and fruit sale, spices production, garment production, etc. for micro-businesses. Individually, each plan is outlined to empower the underprivileged and marginal communities with appropriate measures.

The immediate role of Education – Even in the 21st century, the acceptance of a girl child and her education is not welcomed. In some parts of the country girls are still fighting for equality and inclusion in society. At this place, CAREER played an essential role by initiating various training programs, awareness drives, and backing the women to stand for their rights. The NGO also organizes skill training campsites for the disabled to support them in earning a livelihood. With the help of CAREER, now women are conducting meetings for themselves, contacting the Panchayat & District Officials on different issues such as sanitation, better implementation of pension and housing schemes, etc.  

Gender Transformative developments- With every attempt, the NGO strives to address the root cause of gender inequality and work towards the betterment of women and girls. Women empowerment is much needed in every sector, as women are the backbone of society. Their place is still in danger, even in the urban population, Dalits, and Adivasi communities. To date, a lot has changed in society, but the primary roles are still the same as per the traditional beliefs. At this point, CAREER is supporting women in establishing themselves and demanding their inclusion in the community with dignity.   

Undoubtedly, it has worked tremendously on women education, girl children, stranded old aged people in the shelter homes, disabled in care houses, and others. All in all, CAREER believes to achieve a world that has hope and equal rights for everyone without any discrimination.
